This session was so much fun to be apart of! I had checked the weather all day and it was supposed to be beautiful. The location chosen was near the coast so weather is very unpredictable especially during the summer which was something we discussed previously. When I arrived in the parking lot, not far from the planned proposal site, my car was surrounded in fog. And not just any fog but misty, wet, cold fog.
JP and I had planned for me to pose as a landscape photographer who was randomly hiking around taking photos. As JP and Sthela arrived, in which I would be a random hiker hiking up behind them, I was so worried Sthela might get suspicious. I kept my distance but in the thick fog I couldn't be too far as I had to be in position when they got to the spot.
I later found out Sthela had mentioned to JP that someone was following them (the mountain was pretty empty) but it was a fleeting thought thankfully. When the moment happened it was so beautiful. They were surrounded by the fog and it was as if time stopped and the fog soared around them in their moment. Their love is something you can see and feel if you are near and I feel so incredibly lucky to have been apart of such a special moment.
I left this session soaked from the misty fog, windblown, and freezing but it was so worth it to capture such a magical moment.
