A + M's Dreamy Engagement Session on Film + Digital


Some sessions just leave you counting down the days until the wedding, and this was definitely one of them.


After sending my location guide, Ali and Max chose to have their session at one of my favorite places in Northern California, Point Reyes, for the dreamiest engagement session. Between the gorgeous sunlight through rolling clouds, endless coastline, and golden grass blowing in the wind, it honestly couldn't have been a more perfect evening.


These two were so natural together. They spent the evening laughing, exploring, and soaking in every moment, which made my job so easy. I always tell my couples that you don't need to know how to pose—you just need to show up as yourselves. Ali and Max did exactly that, and it shows in every single photo.


One of my favorite parts of photographing at Point Reyes is that it never feels the same twice. The light, the weather, and the mood are always changing, making every session completely unique. This evening gave us the dreamiest coastal views, soft golden light, and just enough wind to make everything feel a little extra magical.


Of course, I couldn't leave my film cameras at home. Mixing digital and film is one of my favorite ways to tell a story, and these images have such a nostalgic feel to them. Looking through this gallery feels like reliving an evening spent exploring the California coast together.


The best part? This is only the beginning.


In just a few months, I'll be meeting these two again for their destination elopement, and I genuinely cannot wait. After spending the evening with them, I already know their wedding day is going to be so intentional, laid-back, and full of the sweetest moments. Those are always my favorite days to document.


Ali and Max, thank you for trusting me to capture this season of your lives. Getting to tell your story is such an honor, and I am so excited for the next adventure together.
