Each of these images were taken during cold and super windy days. All at the same location. As you can see the light is different for each but all are magical in their own way. Wind almost creates images to be romantic. And all of these sessions the families were convinced we didn't get a single good image, but I knew we had tons! Each time I delivered these galleries my clients responses were always shock and happiness and trust.
The best thing you can do to have the best possible outcome from your session is trust your photographer. Do your research and find someone that truly loves what they do as well as has invested in a lot of their own education and creating their own style. Find the style that you love and then let them take it from there. I help style my clients, choose the location, the time of the session and help guide my clients throughout the session as well as step back and capture their raw emotion.
I truly love what I do and pinch myself that this is what I get to do for a living! It doesn't feel like work when you love what you do. If you have ever worked with me you know how excited I get about wind during a session. Im not sure if other photographers feel the same way but I don't shy away from my weather app telling me my location is expected to have 15mph winds.
Next time you see wind on the forecast, just go for it! You won't regret it!
