Lake Tahoe, California
This session was a special one. Olivia and I grew up together in the same neighborhood, our parents are best friends and I also babysat her. When we found out we were both in Tahoe at the same time it was a no brainer to schedule a styled session. We decided on a sunrise session at two different locations with huge beautiful elephant rocks along the light colored sand. The water was almost ombre from clear along the beach to torquise to bright blue to dark blue. This was one of the most epic locations I have ever shot at and was breathtaking.
Olivia + Andrew needed very little prompting for poses as they are so in tune with each other and you can see they genuinely enjoy each others company. For part of the session they ended up in the crisp cool water and someone had music playing nearby who asked if we had any requests in which Olivia quickly responded, " That's amore by Dean Martin."! Her and Andrew started dancing in the water and it was such a treat to capture them just being in the moment. At the end of the session they both mentioned how much fun they had and how the session had felt like a date which is what I aim to have each client experience our sessions together.
